PTFE Dispersion(Fine Powders)/Paste

Non Melt

Melt

Also known as PTFE Fine Powders or PTFE Coagulated Resins. These are made by coagulation of PTFE aqueous dispersion, various grades are available according to specific applications and to specific production techniques while differing in molecular weight and molecular structure. They possess the lowest coefficient of friction, and the highest heat resisitance, chemical resistance, electrical properties and non-stick properties of all fluoropolymers. As name implies they are commonly processed by “paste extrusion” technique whereby the powder is first blended with an extrusion aid (lubricant).

Applications:

  • Wire and Cable insulation
  • Un-sintered Sealing Tapes
  • High Strength Expanded Sealants
  • Pressure Hoses, Spaghetti tubes
  • Tubes (small and large diameter)
  • Filtration membranes

Applications:

The various grades of fine powders differ in molecular weight and structure, extrusion pressure and reduction ratio capability and are chosen primarily on the basis of available processing equipment and end-use requirements.
